If you've never faced front before, True Believer, this issue of Marvel Age could be the one to turn you into a true Marvel Zombie! Fans were introduced to the new Joes of G.I. Joe: Low-Light! Hedge-Hopper! Hot-Spot! Wet-Suit! Beach-Head! Main-Frame! Leatherneck! Dial-Tone! Life-Line! Iceberg! Slip-Stream! Lift-Ticket! and Cross-Country! They joined the ranks of the Joes to battle Cobra wherever it rears its ugly head.

Not only that, but in the wake of assistant editor Kurt Busiek's departure last issue, a new assistant editor rose to take his place: Adam Philips, who had been writing articles and coloring pages here and there, and who is also me.

This issue also cleared up one of the mysteries of the masthead -- specifically, "Who the Heck Are Romita's Raiders?" And, more to the point, what did they do around the Marvel offices... namely, they made art corrections and studied at the feet of the master, John Romita. Here's a little taste of their art...
