As old Marvel writers were wont to say, "The old order changeth!" This issue of Marvel Age announced that Tom DeFalco had ascended to become Marvel's new editor in chief, stepping into Jim Shooter's role.

Elsewhere in this issue, editor Mark Gruenwald talks about his many projects in an interview that's memorable for this delightful portrait of Mark by Kyle Baker.

And if you like Joes -- G.I. Joes, that is -- well, Marvel's got them. This issue introduced several new Joes, with commentary from G.I. Joe writer Larry Hama. The article featured art from Marvel Animation that sure looks like it was drawn by Russ Heath, who's also this issue's cover artist.
