Just over a year after making his dynamic debut on Alpha Flight, future legendary artist Jim Lee shows off his next project, The Punisher: War Journal, as well as providing a glimpse of what was to come a few years down the road in X-Men. Already established as a rising star at Marvel, Jim's cover spotlights three disparate heroes with ease.

Marvel Age took a look back at the short-lived series the Champions in a new Flashback feature. The team threw together an odd assortment of unattached heroes, set them on a course for adventure in Los Angeles, and, except for a issues drawn by a young John Byrne, was in my opinion fairly forgettable.

Moebius pops up all over this issue, with an item in Newswatch about French postage stamps featuring his art, the Silver Surfer miniseries he undertook with Stan Lee, and the new graphic novel The Incal.
