Marvel's 25th anniversary celebration got under way with this issue of Marvel Age, featuring a cover that echoes the cover of the 1981 Marvel calendar, which celebrated the publisher's 20th anniversary -- and was also penciled by John Byrne! The magazine featured a nod to the anniversary with an article by Kurt Busiek that summarized early Marvel history and how the debuts of characters like the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and others are reflected in stories coming in 1986.

This issue also includes the results of an earlier request for readers' favorite Marvel stories, which included multiple issues of X-Men, Daredevil, Defenders, Fantastic Four, and many more, with an emphasis on stories that feature the death of a beloved character.

Also in this issue, the Star Comics roster continues to grow with the introduction of two new series: Young Astronauts and Droids, each of which get their own Star Spotlight.

Plus, we got some fancy layouts from our fabulous designers!
