Three great comics artists share the spotlight this issue: industry veteran Russ Heath, represented by the cover art and the article on the X-Men's animated adventures; French comic master Moebius, whose line of graphic novels was coming up soon from Marvel; and newcomer Dale Keown, then about to make his debut on The Incredible Hulk.

On top of that, fans got their first look at the Barbie comic series, and, straight out of the U.K., The Last American. Plus future-superstar Tom Raney shows his stuff in the New Talent Department.
