There's a great tradition in comics where artists draw themselves surrounded by their best known characters, but I don't think I've ever seen a better version of it than this fantastic cover by John Romita. Romita is pictured dozing at his desk, surrounded by (clockwise from top left) Crystal, one of the Femizons from Savage Tales #1, Medusa, Black Widow, Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, Betty Brant, and Aunt May, plus a poster of the Dragon Lady from Terry and the Pirates on his door and Virginia Romita peeking into the doorway.

The interview with Romita is a treasure trove of rarely seen artwork, including the Spidey Kids cast and the first drawing of Mary Jane. Along with that, there's a new article on the Raiders that reveals art corrections like the Captain America cover seen below.

Meanwhile, Mark's Remarks continues to look at art and story submissions - a tough job that he takes on with grace.
