After the success of Marvel's Ren & Stimpy comic, based on the Nickelodeon series, it only made sense that the House of Ideas would look for more properties from the same source – in this case, Beavis and Butt-Head, stars on Nickelodeon's sister network, MTV. Readers learned all about it in Marvel Age #134.

The comic-book adaptation tapped Rick Parker, longtime Marvel letterer and writer/artist of Marvel Age's own comic strip, "The Bossmen," as the series artist. The article in this issue showed Rick's layout for a scene with the Punisher, who John Romita Jr. then pencilled to look properly Marvel-esque.

This issue also included an insert of Fleer Ultraprint cards, an article on the making of a "blue-skinned babe" – the model for the cover of New Warriors #44, the Fantastic Four's new look, and Marvel's comic adaptation of William Shatner's Tek.
