It's Marvel in the 1990s (barely), so Thanos is back in a new series written by - who else? - Jim Starlin. The series, illustrated by Ron Lim, would showcase Thanos's "more tender side," according to Starlin.

Also in this issue, it's the unexpected return of Harvey Kurtzman to Marvel after 40 years, since he last drew an episode of the Timely Comics filler page, "Hey Look!" Kurtzman made his return with the Mad-like super-hero spoof graphic novel "Harvey Kurtzman's Strange Adventures."

Plus, another not-so-distant-future Image Comics co-founder, Erik Larsen, get the profile treatment.
